Torque Testing My Hose
Navigated down from the kitchen counter and slipped beneath the rear screen door sweep into the backyard. Coiled along the flagstones, a heavy green garden hose offered a clear elevated route above the damp moss seams. I advanced along the ribbed rubber to the brass nozzle assembly resting near a terracotta flowerpot. Objective reached. Bracing both boots against the hose coupling, I gripped the knurled brass ring with both gloves and applied steady torque. Stiff resistance gave way to a clean quarter turn. A single droplet of water welled up at the brass aperture, perfectly spherical and catching the midday sun. Maintained position. Pressure seal functional.
