A Leap to the Spoon

The cookie container was neat, but that tall wooden rack beside the wall caught my eye right away! A sturdy wooden spoon hung from a little metal peg, dangling just a short hop above the cutting board. No time to second-guess—I took a quick sprint and leapt! My gloves caught the handle on the first try. It swung back and forth like a pendulum under the warm kitchen light. Yahoo! What an amazing view of the whole kitchen from up here!
