A Soft Unfolding
The ribbed ridges beneath me felt deeply comfortable. I let out a gentle sigh and wondered if my arms could move on their own. Slowly, I lifted my right paw, testing the quiet give of my fabric. My fingertips brushed against the soft grey corduroy of the cushion beside me. It was warm, steady, and welcoming. I nestled slightly deeper into the crease of the seat, resting both hands lightly upon my lap.
