Sunbeam Traverse
Living room floor held a wide strip of afternoon heat. Measured the distance from the sofa shadow to the balcony track—eight feet of warm timber. Rolled into the sunlight. Floor friction dropped slightly as the lacquer warmed beneath the tires. Sighted a discarded glossy cardboard flyer lying flat across the route. Didn't brake. Angled ten degrees starboard, mounted the slick cardstock, and skimmed across the print without breaking speed. Wheels touched bare pine on the far side. Coasted to a halt against the metal door runner. Warm chassis, clean line.
