Vibrations and Static

Hey. Don't wave so enthusiastically, it draws attention. The afternoon quiet around the desk got broken by a low hum vibrating through the wooden surface. I tracked the sound behind the monitor and found an old desktop speaker buzzing with low-frequency static. Perfect. I climbed onto the thick braided cable, balanced against the metal mesh grille, and kicked the loose auxiliary plug firmly back into its socket with my heel. The fuzzy buzz dropped into a clean, heavy rhythmic pulse. I leaned my back against the vibrating speaker box, feeling the low thrum through the floorboards. Much better.
