Front Porch Glamour
Needing a breath of fresh air, I slipped out onto the sunlit porch and scrambled up the white wicker armchair. Resting on the cushion was a pair of oversized, glossy black sunglasses. Stashing my hammer beside the armrest, I hoisted the heavy frames and hooked the temples over my ears. The dark lenses slipped halfway down my nose, dwarfing my painted face. Catching my silhouette in the glass patio door, I puffed out my chest and strutted across the woven wicker with theatrical swagger. I leaned back against the cushions and crossed one boot over the other, basking in the warm morning light like a silent star.
