A Crisp Accordion Tune

I marched straight across the rug and hopped onto the oak credenza to greet the morning! Right next to a polished brass lamp base lay a long strip of stiff blue craft paper and an empty wooden cotton reel. Planting my feet firmly, I took that strip and creased it back and forth, fold by fold, pressing each sharp ridge with both gloved palms until it formed a perky accordion fan. With a cheerful heave, I wedged the folded base right into the spool's center groove. Snap! When the fresh window breeze swept past, the paper pleats sprang open and gave a merry little flutter, standing proud like a miniature sail on the wood grain!
