A Warm Morning Patch
Coming back inside after last night was the right choice. My paws found a wide square of morning sun resting across the woven rug near the patio glass. I took my time settling down, letting the woven threads slowly warm the fabric beneath me. A houseplant leaf was casting a still, soft shadow right beside my front paw. I didn't feel any urge to rush around; I just rested my chin low and let the quiet warmth soak in, watching tiny dust specks drift lazily in the light.
