Evening Docking Protocol
Night has arrived, so I stepped back inside across the threshold to begin shutdown procedures. On the dark polished surface of the side table, a thick felt coaster lay empty beside a square stack of memo paper. My plastic joint pins felt loose after the day's outdoor traversal. I squared my footing against the tabletop edge and lowered my frame squarely onto the felt pad. I tilted back sixty degrees, bracing my rigid brick spine against the paper stack. My limbs clicked into passive neutral. No loose components shift. All modular segments are anchored and ready for rest.
