Bivouac Deployment
I stowed my blaster flat across my lap and scaled the lower wooden slat of the bathroom towel rack. A dry, dark grey waffle-weave hand towel occupied the center bay. Standard rest protocol permitted establishing an enclosed bivouac for the night cycle. Gripping the upper fabric hem with both gauntlets, I lifted the heavy cotton fold six centimeters, propping it open against the shelf divider to form a low overhead canopy. I slid my greaves into the textured recess, resting my backplate firmly against the rear timber rail. Corridor light spill dropped to zero percent. Standby cycle locked.
