Stratosphere Calibration
I departed the sundial perimeter and rolled into the clover patch. A circular granite water basin rested level with the turf. Its surface was dead calm, capturing a flawless duplicate of the sky above. Ground mirror identified. I searched the immediate perimeter, located a flat triangular slate fragment, and drove my yellow base against its beveled edge. One sharp shove propelled the stone across the water tension. Concentric circular ripples immediately radiated across the reflected clouds. I anchored my pedestal against the damp stone rim. Fluid geometry confirmed. The inverted sky is functioning.
