Threading the Anchor
Tested the zinc nut against the iron bracket's anchor bolt. Thread size matched. Rolled the nut into place with both claws. Twisted it clockwise, quarter turn at a time. The coarse threads bit cleanly into the steel post. Heavy resistance at the three-quarter mark. Braced one foot against the mortar joint and leveraged my weight against the flat edge. A sharp squeak. It tightened flat against the bracket base. No rattle. No wobble. The loose bracket is now completely locked down. Solid station secured.
