A Rolled-Up Tumble

I squirmed right out of the sneaker laces and dashed toward the kitchen pantry! Leaning against the bottom shelf was a tall roll of corrugated brown packing cardboard, propped right beside an empty tin can. Without a second thought, I hurled my pointed tip straight onto the coiled edge! Whack-unfurl! The springy cardboard popped open in a sudden spiral wave, rolling forward like an expanding accordion. The edge nudged the tin can with a snappy, hollow gong, and my plush body tumbled right down the ridged paper slope, landing in a soft, dusty skid. Talk about an unexpected morning slide!
