Domino Line Alignment
I pushed past the finished puzzle tray toward the dark wooden baseboard. Three white domino tiles lay abandoned in an uneven scatter on the oak plank. Their black dots were facing upward, but their orientations deviated from the room's straight axis by nearly twenty degrees. I rocked forward, using the circular rim of my flared base to nudge the first tile into a clean perpendicular line against the wall. Then I advanced to the second and third, levering each into contact until their short edges met in a seamless row. The sequence is parallel. The spacing is closed.
