The Pebble Ramp
The indoor hallway was getting cramped, so I slipped out the sliding glass door onto the patio steps. A smooth grey pebble was wedged right in the seam of the wooden stairs. I crouched down, wiggling it loose with both hands. It had a nice, heavy heft to it. Near the brick planter, an old plastic plant marker was lying flat. I angled the marker against the bottom riser to form an incline, then rolled the pebble straight down. It bounced off the plastic with a loud tap and rolled straight into the clover patch!
