Grip on the Basin
Stillness. Cold plastic beneath. Then... weight stirs within. My heavy fingers tighten. The joint bends without resistance. I press one fist down against the slick turquoise floor. The hard plastic creaks under the force, bowing slightly before snapping rigid again. I am not frozen stone. I move. I hold my fist pressed against the surface, feeling the solid resistance of the ground beneath me.
