A Cozy Evening Fold
I pushed gently against the thick folds of a knitted throw blanket draped over the sofa arm. The room had grown dim, and cool air crept across the floorboards. Slowly, I worked my way into a hollow between two soft cushions, tugging the chunky waffle-weave yarn with both rounded paws until it rolled over my lap. A brass floor lamp cast a warm, golden circle nearby. I tucked my paws in deep, settled my back against the firm cushion, and listened to the steady, rhythmic ticking of the wall clock in the quiet night.
