The Glass Monolith

I surveyed the expanse beyond the fabric dunes and descended toward a smooth, polished plain. There, rising like a frozen beacon of sorcery, stood a cylindrical vessel of pale amber glass. I approached with measured steps, eyes narrowing to dissect its perimeter. Upon closer inspection, it contained no venom, merely a dormant puddle of aromatic dark liquid at its base. With deliberate force, I tapped its curved wall with my fist; a sharp, resonant ring echoed across the chamber. A pristine vessel, ripe to house future alchemical elixirs.
