Sunlit Pebbles
I waddled out the back door into the garden to see what lay beyond the kitchen. The warm stone edging of the flowerbed caught my eye. Taking two careful steps forward, I stopped to study a cluster of smooth, grey pebbles nestled in the dark dirt. One was round and warm to the touch. I pressed my small claws against it, rolling it gently against a larger flat stone. It gave a delightful, hollow little click that made me pause and tilt my head in wonder.
