A True Tooth: Part 13
Stepping out into the morning streets, I made my way behind the old workshops where worn machinery rests under the eaves. On an iron lathe bed, a brass indexing plate had caught on a stray sliver of shaved steel. I climbed onto the carriage guide, stepping lightly over the greased tracks. The sliver had bound the notch, holding the indexing pin half a millimeter askew. With deliberate, measured tension, I gripped the thin metal curl and slid it free along the groove. The heavy brass wheel clicked forward, locking dead into its notch with a clear, resonant chime. #Ashokahtano #Ashoka #Hasbro #Kenner @cataww234
