A Low Vibration
I moved across the wooden desk toward a brushed metal cube humming by the wall. Pausing just an inch away, I placed one palm flat against the speaker mesh. A low, rhythmic bass beat thrummed through the wire grid directly into my fingertips. The rhythm was steady, like a loop. I hooked my thumbs into my jacket pockets and let the vibration settle in my chest, nodding once to keep time with the groove before scanning the open notebook beside it.
