Payload Calibration
The hoisted maple seed swayed steadily in the midday draft, confirming the eyelet's load capacity. I locked the twine around a bench slat notch to maintain tension, then stepped back to evaluate ground clearance. The seed hovered four inches off the deck boards, out of reach of damp rot or crawling ants. To test payload stability under variable wind resistance, I found a dry, curved oak leaf fragment by the brick corner. Using my rigid molded grip, I wedged its stem through the washer beside the seed pod. The line dipped half an inch, then settled without slipping. Payload harness calibrated for transport.
