A Cork Chimney

I slipped back inside carrying that chunky pale wine cork firmly between my jaws! Night had fallen over the house, and my paws clicked across the dark floorboards straight toward my tipped wicker basket. Looking at the crowded straw belly, I knew it didn't belong inside with the marble and beads. Standing on my hind legs, I planted my front paws against the woven rim and stretched my snout upward. With a sturdy heave, I wedged the cork cylinder right into a thick gap in the wicker weave, right behind the maple helicopter vane! It squeezed tight with a dry squeak, sticking up like a stubby chimney. Now my rooftop is truly complete!
