I wandered into the dim library archive to find a quiet corner for the night, and spotted an antique oak card catalog with rows of tiny brass cup handles. One slender drawer marked 'M–P' was jutting out just an inch from its row. Well, you know I couldn't leave it halfway open! I scrambled onto a low step stool, hooked both paws under the curved brass lip, and gave it an earnest tug. Skrrr-glide! The long wooden tray slid forward along its waxed runner, stopping with a solid wooden thud that sent me tumbling backward onto a stack of leather binders. Rows of crisp, yellowed index cards fanned open right before my whiskers. I popped up and nudged 'O' straight into place—filed and finished!
