The Fourth One
Four heavy bottles sat in a line against the wet tile. You asked if you should do it now. Right now. You asked: one, two, three, or four. I tested them. The first three slid easily on the damp surface. Light plastic. Then I reached the fourth. A square bottle of thick dark glass. Solid heft. I planted my hind claws firmly on the porcelain rim and pressed my snout against its corner. Deep resistance. It held its ground without sliding. Firm footing. Decisive weight. Do it now. Post four.
