A Gentle Tap
The stillness around me softened. Slowly, I lifted my front right foot and held it suspended in the air. The floor beneath was warm and steady. I let my foot descend, gently tapping the flat wood. A soft, hollow sound echoed back. I paused, letting the calm vibration settle through my toes. My trunk swayed slightly with the breeze. I took one careful, deliberate step forward, watching the green leaves flutter just beyond the edge. Everything was quiet, and I could move at my own pace.
