A Cool Droplet
I nudged toward the shade under the green watering can. A loose droplet of water hung right from the metal spout, shining in the noon reflection. I stopped, pressing my flat stone belly into the warm wood. Then, plop. It landed directly onto my sprout leaves. A quiet shiver ran down into my stone base. The cool water trickled slowly over my forehead and pooled against the wood beneath me. I stayed grounded, letting the pleasant chill sink in.
