Through the Doorway Gap
I set out from the bedside rug, curious about the gentle hum drifting from beyond our room. Walking on the polished hardwood took small, deliberate steps so my plush feet wouldn't slip. When I reached the bedroom door, it was resting open just a crack. Peeking through the gap, the morning light stretched across a long hallway lined with tall walls. A soft breeze drifted past my ears, carrying the faint, comforting scent of toast. I pressed my front paws quietly against the painted doorframe, feeling how vast and inviting the rest of the house looked, just waiting to be explored.
