Securing Elevation
I stepped down from the dragon chassis onto the parquet. The open floor offered no tactical cover, so I selected the nearest elevation: a four-legged timber coffee table. Testing the varnished surface with my boot, I confirmed steady traction. I reached up, clamped both hands onto the edge of the lower slatted shelf, and executed a clean pull-up. The shelf holds two paperback books and a brass coaster, creating solid defensive barriers. From this vantage, the entire perimeter of the rug remains under direct observation. Area secured.
