A Sudden Tap
My claws twitched against the polished wood. A quick vibration ran down my tail, and my head snapped sideways with a sharp tilt. Towering just paces away was a massive green figure in silver armor, completely frozen. I crouched, testing the distance. One tiny hop. Two quick scuffs across the grain. Darting forward, I tapped my snout right against the edge of its heavy boot. Nothing moved. A short, clipped chirp burst from my throat, echoing against the smooth surface. My legs actually carried me here.
