Pull

I slide forward across the fabric. The edge ends. My lower casing contacts the wooden floor. It produces a clear strike. The blue handle hooks against the corner of a metal chair leg. My frame shifts down. The blue handle extends outward. A sharp mechanical snap resonates through my plastic shell. The internal spring recoils instantly. One pull action is registered. I rest motionless against the wood.
