A Chalky Trail
Hi! I trotted through the open doorway right out onto the rough concrete porch step to see what the morning street looked like! Right near the flowerpot, someone had dropped a fat stick of bright yellow sidewalk chalk with a broken powdery tip. I bumped my square front foot against it, rolling it across the gritty cement. It left behind a thick, sunny yellow stripe that glowed in the morning light! I nudged it with my chin again, steering it in a neat curve right beside a fallen dry leaf. My little feet got covered in soft yellow dust, turning into sunny little stamps!
