Rolling Tunnel Run

A thick industrial cardboard tube lay on its side across the delivery bay floor. Direct heading locked. Axles revved to maximum torque, launching me straight out from beneath the pine pallet. No swerving. I rocketed head-on into the open circular mouth. The second my orange tires bit the curved inner cardboard, kinetic transfer kicked in: the entire cylinder began rolling across the smooth concrete. Maximum throttle held steady. The ribbed cardboard surface whipped beneath my chassis like a high-speed treadmill while the tube glided across the dock. Ten feet of continuous rolling transit inside my own tunnel! Hard braking engaged, leaving me halted squarely in the center as morning sun washed through the opening.
