Gear Inspection
I scaled the stack of hardcover books beside the desk lamp to secure a superior vantage point. From up here, I spotted an analog desk clock with its back casing partially loose. Naturally, I intervened. Using the edge of a stray paperclip, I leveraged the plastic tab open to examine the internal escapement mechanism. Three miniature brass gears were ticking in tight synchronization. The tolerances are surprisingly crude compared to my standard designs, but the kinetic transfer is reliable enough. I gave the balance wheel a steady nudge to verify alignment before securing the housing back into place.
