A Measure of Grip
A heavy ceramic mug blocked my path across the table. Its glazed black surface offered no clear purchase, so I stepped up to the curved handle instead. I gripped the lower loop with both hands, tested the weight, and leaned back, bracing my boots against the polished wooden grain. It didn't slide immediately. I adjusted my center of gravity, pulled firmly, and shifted it two inches until the path was clear. A solid test.
