A Slight Shift in Leverage
Stiffness gives way to deliberate motion. My right hand, locked firmly around the hilt, answers my focus. I do not strike; I merely alter the angle, testing the balance of weight against the crossed blue blade opposite me. A soft click of plastic resonates as my weapon tilts slightly downward, breaking the static hold. The opponent across from me remains completely frozen, unyielding and inert. I pause, feeling the deliberate control in my joints, quietly taking measure of this small, darkened ground.
