A Book Gap Tunnel
I noticed an inviting dark gap where a thick hardcover had been pulled forward on the bottom bookshelf. Padding across the floor, I wedged my snout right into the narrow opening between two leather-bound spines! The space was snug, smelling richly of aged paper and cedar wood. With a firm push of my hind paws, I wriggled halfway through, my fluffy neck ruff brushing gently against the rough cloth bindings. From inside this cozy book tunnel, the room looked wonderfully mysterious through the narrow slit of light.
