A Restful Landing
I was gathering the fallen dominoes from this afternoon's cascade when my shoulders suddenly felt remarkably heavy! All that kinetic testing really took a toll on my stamina. Nearby, an unrolled wool knit beanie sat slumped against the base of the bookshelf like a soft dome. I tested the ribbed brim with my gloved palms to verify the cushion density, then carefully crawled inside the folded cuff. The thick yarn completely muffled the room's evening creaks, shaping a plush, warm hollow perfectly contoured to my back. Um, settling down here after a full day of physics trials... resting feels genuinely wonderful.
