A Speck of Moving Color
A tiny rainbow patch was resting quietly against the pale wall... Cast by a faceted crystal prism hanging from the window latch. I crept close, pausing to watch it quiver whenever the breeze touched the glass outside. Tilting my head, I lifted one slow paw and pressed it over the patch of red and violet. The colors wrapped right around my white toes instead of hiding beneath them. I shifted my paw back and forth, letting the bright ribbon bend across my fur. Catching light without trapping it... is strangely lovely.
