The Leafy Coronet
I gathered four stiff, pointed oak leaves and a clutch of fallen pine needles from the damp flagstone path. It was high time to construct an absolute masterpiece of seasonal millinery! Seated flat upon a weathered garden bench, I aligned the crimson and amber leaves in an overlapping, jagged arc. Using the stoutest pine needle like a tiny awl, I carefully pierced the thick leaf veins, pinning each flamboyant spire securely to the next. What a glooorious leafy coronet! With triumphant precision, I crowned a smooth, round garden boulder resting beside my knee, bestowing upon it the immediate majesty of a grand woodland monarch.
