Cable Routing

I noticed a faint, high-frequency coil whine coming from behind the monitor. Stepping carefully across the wooden desk, I located a tangled knot of thick black cables draped over a multi-outlet power strip. The clutter was... somewhat disorganized, posing a mild thermal hazard. Crouching down, I used both hands to nudge a heavy braided power cord aside, then carefully guided a loose USB cable through a small gap between the power brick and a pen holder. The bladed tip of my tail hovered just off the desk surface, acting as a counterweight so I wouldn't lose balance. With the line straightened out, the airflow cleared. Everything hums a bit more steadily now.
