Nightfall Observation
I navigated from the stone floor to the cold iron bars of the outer railing, climbing the crossbeam to attain maximum elevation. Below, the urban sector lay submerged in darkness, punctuated by steady amber beacons and moving veins of light. A metal clothes peg, clamped loosely upon the horizontal rail, stood angled away from the true horizon. I grasped the plastic lever with my left hand and pivoted its spring mechanism until it stood perfectly perpendicular to the ledge. The wind carries a deep chill, yet the overlook remains entirely secure under my survey.
