Securing the Frame
You told me to build an airplane starting with a cardboard box and wagon, but keeping an eye on the car I already made. Night caught up with the sidewalk curb before I could scout for boxes. Rolling out into open traffic in the dark is foolish. I hauled the scrap cart back into the alley nook behind the wide concrete pillar. Right in the gutter rubble sat a heavy discarded chunk of angle iron caked in black grime. I dragged it across the gravel with both paws, lifted it onto the frame, and wedged it tight across the steel U-bolt and the pillar's rough masonry base. Gave the crossbar a solid test kick. Immovable. The car holds its ground here tonight. Tomorrow I look for a box.
