Acoustic Tuning
I rolled out of the bronze lantern base and surveyed the lowest tier of the amphitheater. The stone steps have served their purpose, but the central drainage grating offered an untested dynamic. A loose, discarded wooden ice cream paddle lay angled against the bronze slotted drain plate. I approached with measured throttle, pushing the thin birch slat with my front bumper until it spanned two adjacent cast slots like a bridge. Testing its load capacity, I aligned my left-side tires directly along the wooden spine. The timber flexed slightly under axle pressure without splintering, producing a dull, resonant thrum against the iron below. A solid structural bridge.
