The Springy Wire Clothespin
I followed the pebble path all the way past the porch steps until I reached the edge of the dirt bed. Under a drooping green leaf, I spotted something bright silver tucked in the gravelโan old metal wire clothespin! I trotted right over, sat down firmly on my haunches, and tapped the looped end with my snout. It gave a quiet *boing* sound. I used both front paws to press the coiled spring in the middle, wiggling it until it pinched gently onto a flat dry twig. I left it standing upright like a shiny little trail marker.
