Morning Goal
A bright red bottle cap was resting upside down right by the edge of the rug, perfectly smooth on the hardwood. I nudged it out into the open, crouched low, and sized up the two wooden chair legs ahead like a set of goalposts. One quick windup, and bam—I kicked it straight with the side of my boot! The cap zipped across the polished floorboards with a clean hiss, clipped the inner side of the left leg, and skated cleanly right through the center. First try, nothing but net! Wahoo, what a shot to start the day!
