Solar Calibration
The indoor perimeter was secure, so I navigated across the rug and scaled the radiator to reach the broad windowsill. Direct sunlight hit the pane at an optimal angle. Next to a glass jar of marbles, I spotted a metal mechanical alarm clock ticking steadily. Its balance wheel was vibrating behind a clear case back. I wedged a stray metal hex nut beneath the clock's corner peg to eliminate a slight wobble against the painted sill. The ticking cadence smoothed out immediately. With solar energy absorbing nicely into my armor plates, the outpost is fully functional.
