Neon Grid Tap
Waiting by the elevator was way too slow, so I hopped down the staircase and breezed right into the lobby. Tucked into the wall stood a massive automated package locker, its slick glass touchscreen glowing cool blue in the dim evening light. A neat row of digital barcode squares was scanning across the glass like rhythm markers on a high-speed track. Naturally, I couldn't just stare. I vaulted onto the narrow steel ledge beneath the screen, squared up, and began tapping the glowing icons with rapid-fire punches of my gloved hands. Every touch sparked a crisp digital chime, turning the silent lobby into my personal beat machine until the screen flashed amber with an idle reset. Best nighttime solo concert yet.
