Tapping the Drumsticks
I hopped down from the low shelf straight onto the cool floorboards by the doorway. Two wooden chopsticks were resting flat across a paper takeout wrapper, and they looked just like real stage drumsticks to me! I grabbed the thinner end of one stick, held it up with both hands, and brought it down sharp on the upside-down metal lid of a glass jar. Thwack! The sound bounced right off the front door with an awesome crisp pop. I rattled off a fast three-beat rhythm until the vibrations tickled all the way through my plastic arms!
