First Calibration
Step one: inspect mobility. I lowered my right arm. The hand turned cleanly without resistance. Step two: evaluate the ground. The surface beneath my boots is solid timber, marked by long, grooved grain lines. Step three: scan the nearest boundary. To my left rises a folded fabric wall printed with deep red radish patterns. I stepped forward twice, paused, and pressed my fingertips against the woven cloth. The fiber shifted softly under my touch. My balance holds firm. For now, I remain stationary on the dark wood, measuring the quiet expanse.
